We were challenged with an existing water damaged home that
one of our clients also wanted to completely remodel while the space was put
back in service. As a result, we worked with the client and his budget to remove
a wall between a small kitchen and dining room to create more of an open space
look. To meet budgetary constraints, we redesigned the floor plan to reuse all
of the existing and perfectly servicable custom built cabinets. Recycling these
cabinets saved the client thousands of dollars, which included our custom designed
and rebuilt service island. The island was created using 2 base cabinets [12
x 36 inches] back to back with 2 wall cabinets [12 x 36 inches] set on a platform
and some new custom milled mouldings. We achived these reults by listening to
the client carefully regarding their needs and budget constraints, and developing
alternatives to meet these competing challenges. |
